According to the Virginia State Police Department, Lavel Davis Jr, D'Sean Perry and Devin Chandler all members of the University of Virginia football team were shot and killed on a bus by former football player Christopher Darnell Jones. 

The Prosecutor said Mr. Jones targeted these particular students because they was part of the football team, he came to that conclusion because there were other students on the bus that wasn't shot only injured during the commotion.

Christopher Darnell Jones is charged with three counts of 2nd degree murder and two counts of malicious firearm charges for the two other people that was injured.
