New York City was not prepared for hurricane Ida as she brought over 3 inches of rain to the Tri-State area causing major disruptions to the NYC Transit Authority and Major Highways.

According to the NYPD and FDNY, hundreds of people had to be rescued from their vehicles and basements, 23 people lost their lives and more are suspected as the searches continue.
