Thousands of NYPD Police Officers and other Police Officers from around the country paid their final farewell to Police Officer Jason Rivera at St Patrick Cathedral who was shot and killed on January 22, 2022 while responding to a domestic call in Harlem, New York City. His partner Police Officer Wilbert Mora was also shot and killed in the line of duty.

Police Officer Rivera's Wife Dominique had some strong words for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Mayor Eric Adams also spoke and said this was an attack on New York City, NYPD Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell promoted the young 22 year old Rivera to Detective First Grade.
