According to our sources close to the situation, Singer and Song Writer Wyclef Jean was detained and handcuffed by the LA Sheriff's Department for an allege armed robbery.

The Sheriff stated "due to the violent nature of the call, the similarity of the suspect vehicle and Mr. Jean's furtive movement and demeanor, he was handcuffed".

Oh, by the way, Mr Jean was released a short time later and the actual robber was apprehended and taken to the county jail.
